Studify is a Chrome extension designed to help users stay focused on educational content by blocking non-educational YouTube videos and providing Study Mode and Browse Mode.

Data Collection

Studify does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data. All extension logic runs locally in the user’s browser.

Permissions

Studify requests limited Chrome permissions strictly to provide its core functionality:

• activeTab – to apply blocking logic to the currently open YouTube tab.
• Host Permissions (YouTube) – to run on YouTube pages and identify video categories.
• scripting – to inject blocking logic on YouTube pages.
• storage – to save user preferences (Study/Browse mode) locally in the browser.

No data is sent to external servers or shared with third parties.
